To where we call home...

Procter is a lovely little village nestled in the forested mountains northeast of Nelson, BC on Kootenay Lake.

 

We boast of around 800 population in the winter months and over 1200 in the summer with visitors and tourists.

 

For a small (and somewhat remote) village, Procter has a lot to be proud of. It is kept honest by its diversity and the rich history that has shaped it. From long-ago mining, forestry and paddle-wheelers to more recent community forestry, mills, ferries, back-to-the-landers, and post-covid work-from-homers—we have all types here.

 

And we love it that way!
