Procter Schoolhouse
After the Procter Schoolhouse closed as a school in 1987, it was gifted to the PCS by the School District. Since then, there has been a constant effort to repurpose the building to benefit locals.
Over the years, it has seen various businesses and services come and go. The first was a doctor's office, followed by a daycare, artist studio, chiropractor practice, hair salon, gift shop, bookstore, café, bagel shop and many others. Currently, there are four ventures operating there:
-
Harrop-Procter Community Coop/Procter Watershed Society,
-
Chloe’s Music School,
-
Triple Rose Gifts, Thrifts & Tattoos Collective
-
The Procter Village Bakery Café.
-
It is also home to the GA Reid Community Library, operated by PCS volunteers.
